There is an announcement on the ICD-10-CM: New Diagnosis Code for Vaping-related Disorders Effective April 1

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s National Center for Health Statistics is adding a new diagnosis code, U07.0, to ICD-10-CM. This code is to report vaping-related disorders.

The ICD-10 MS-DRG Grouper software package to accommodate this new code, Version 37.1, is effective for discharges on or after April 1. See the announcement (PDF) for more information.

Major depressive disorder According to the American Psychiatric Association, major depressive disorder can be seen in patients who have suffered a depressive episode lasting at least two weeks, as manifested by at least five of the following symptoms: depressed mood, loss of interest or pleasure in most or all activities, insomnia or hypersomnia, change in appetite or weight, psychomotor retardation or agitation, low energy, poor concentration, thoughts of worthlessness or guilt, and recurrent thoughts about death or suicidal ideation.
